The Lehigh Valley's fast paced growth has created a high demand for recreational services. Bethlehem Township, at the hub of that growth, decided the time was right to look forward, to anticipate further growth and explore the community interest in developing a community recreation center. To determine the feasibility of a new center and to define what would best meet the needs of the community, this township of the first retained The Sports Management Group. As a result of the market analysis and planning workshops that included the Planning Committee and the public, a viable development plan was established.

Bethlehem Township now has a plan for maintaining, preserving and enhancing the quality of life in their community. Their new plan now anticipates and addresses the need for open space, park facilities and community recreation opportunities.
