The Sports Management Group served as Programming and Operational Consultant, for this unique and innovative facility. The Sports Management Group was given the opportunity to address very diverse programming needs ranging from those of senior citizens to teen uses. Stepping up to the challenge, we succeeded in programming and planning this 40,400 s.f. $6.8 million center for the City of Anaheim. Located in the city's redevelopment area, the facility consists of two separate buildings, a 29,670 s.f. Senior Center/Community Center and a 14,730 s.f. gymnasium with a boxing club. The project's overall master plan was based on the city's history and incorporates the original city grid, the Santa Ana River and some of the early landmark buildings of this German town once called Campo Aleman.
