Texas A&M
Recreational Sports Center

|
 |
  |
The Sports Management Group was, and is, a wonderful
company to work with. I believe that the 'team' approach you established
with this University is the real reason the Student Recreation Center
has met the needs of thousands of Aggies.

The Texas A&M facility, lightheartedly called
the Taj Mahal by A&M's envious peers, is one of the nation's largest,
just right for one of the most extensive and active campus recreation
programs in America. The Sports Management Group served as program
refinement and design consultants for the project team led by Marmon
Mok Architects. Associate, Rick Hall was involved in every aspect
of planning and start-up, and currently manages operations and maintenance
as Director of Facilities for the Department of Recreational Sports.
The design team created a unique and elegant
solution in a surprisingly short period of just three months with
a series of intensive user group workshops. The initial concept
was developed during an exciting three-day weekend rural retreat
involving the entire campus recreational sports staff and University
Facility Planning staff with focused attention, through a wide range
of conceptual alternatives.
