Season's Greetings From TSMG
TSMG Turns 25!

This year marks our 25th year of service to communities, colleges and universities and we are celebrating!!
We have been privileged to work with over 400 communities throughout the United States and over 100 colleges and universities in this country and abroad. Over the years, we have been honored to work with outstanding staff who are making a difference in their community or institution. We have enjoyed working alongside thousands of members of the public, committee members, advisory board members, councils and trustees who shared their vision and entrusted The Sports Management Group to assist them in making it a reality. We also are appreciative of the many professional colleagues with whom we have teamed. We are gratified by the associations that span our 25 years and look forward to great collaborations in the future!
The East Oakland Sports Center Celebrates Its Grand Opening
The Sports Management Group worked with project architect, ELS Architecture and Urban Design. The Sports Management Group services included public facilitation, space programming, financial analysis, and design consulting.

This highly anticipated project was many years in the making with funding as the biggest challenge to overcome. Though perseverance, funding for the $24 million project was secured from multiple sources, including $11 million from Measure DD Oakland Trust for Clean Water & Safe Parks, $6 million in Measure WW – East Bay Regional Parks funds, $3.2 million in Measure I Oakland General Obligation Bond funding, $3 million in State Proposition 40 funds and $2 million from the Oakland Redevelopment Agency.
The facility is designed with future phases that include a two-court gymnasium, an outdoor lap pool, and three soccer fields. Read more about the project here.
Congratulations Oakland!!
